Always up to something
Created by Neal one year ago
Bill was always up to something – usually up a ladder but also mink rafts and tern rafts and aquaria full of hungry tadpoles and buckets full of toads and otters and bird surveys and then wetland bird surveys and plant surveys and habitat surveys and seal surveys and throwing bales of hay at hungry highlands, then down a tunnel with a torch, then putting up static detectors, then making more bat boxes, then whacking back bracken to help some orchids, while getting around in that beaten up old pick up. Inspired by his activity and his great knowledge acquired not just by the book but by doing and then doing more. He’ll be sorely missed by all who knew him, especially by that angry Noctule he would encounter twice a year in the Schwegler box at TMB.
